Current opportunities
- Basic electronic component recognition.
- Ability to work from computer, drawings or parts lists.
- Ability to read colour codes and component identity markings desirable.
- Use of basic hand tools – screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, soldering iron.
- Post flow solder inspection and rectification of soldering defects.
- Good hand soldering skills.
- Light mechanical assembly.
- Some PCB testing using automated test jigs.
- Must be flexible and willing to carry out different tasks as required.
- A positive attitude and good team player.
- IPC 610 accreditation would be an advantage but not a pre requisite as onsite training is available.

Key attributes and duties
- Inspection of PCB assemblies at surface mount and conventional levels
- Working to IPC 610 standards.
- Aware of AS9100 or ISO standards
- Working as part of a QA team
- Inspection at first off and batch stages
- Operate AOI and X ray equipment
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of assembly.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Computer literate
